India is on the verge of qualifying for the Super 8 of the current T20 World Cup 2024 after two straight victories. Kuldeep is an intriguing option given his trajectory, Sidhu said, adding that the star spinner can take Axar Patel’s place in the upcoming games. He did note, though, that the Gujarat-born all-rounder was excellent against Pakistan and that the team management should be facing a difficult decision.
“The balls are coming straight at you (the hitters), but Kuldeep or Yuzi Chahal is hitting them higher than your eyes. Thus, it’s possible that you could suggest that Kuldeep may replace Axar. But Axar gave an excellent performance in the previous game. Thus, it’s a conundrum, Sidhu remarked.
