RCB were hoping to advance to the Qualifier 2 of the current IPL 2024 by defeating Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator. They had won six straight games. But at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the Sanju Samson-led team emerged victorious, defeating the Faf du Plessis-led team by four wickets. With that victory, the RCB team’s quest for their first IPL crown continues.
Notably, the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led team finished the season with a dismal record, while RCB played remarkably well and qualified for the playoffs in a must-win match against Chennai Super Kings. Following the game, CSK supporters accused RCB supporters of hooliganism; at one time, this complaint trended on X (previously Twitter). In light of this, former Indian cricket player Kris Srikkanth bluntly declared that following RCB’s victory over CSK, supporters ought to have stayed indoors and refrained from posting pointless videos.
The 64-year-old further stated that he thought the team’s and the supporters’ arrogance after defeating CSK contributed to their elimination-round loss to RR.
When you are doing well in life, keep your mouth shut and carry on; you cannot accomplish that work if you make a big deal out of what you are doing. They were flaunting themselves excessively and uploading pointless movies (after the win vs CSK). In cricket, you have to keep your mouth shut and play, which is why Ashwin came and demolished them, Srikkanth said on his YouTube channel.
If you didn’t perform well, accept the criticism: Kris Srikkanth
As RCB accepted the acclaim, Srikkanth asked them to take the criticism as well. He observed that the players became overly aggressive and began to celebrate their six straight victories.

“If you performed well, congratulations; if not, accept the criticism; but, you should never speak up or act aggressively. Both Mumbai and CSK have emerged from obscurity to win championships. These men won six games, but as soon as they were eliminated, they were eliminated,” he continued.
