During the post-match press conference, LSG captain KL Rahul shared his reflections on the team’s season and its development. He said that going into the season, he thought his club had a good core of players who could cover most ground. KL Rahul mentioned specific matches such as the one between DC and LSG and the one between KKR and LSG, saying that the squad did not work together well; there were times when bowlers performed well but batters did not, and vice versa. Their pursuit for a playoff slot was eventually hindered by this inconsistency, as they lost a few games from advantageous positions—a genuine testament to cricket’s status as a team sport.

Collectively, we didn’t play well enough. The hitters would not have a good game when the bowlers were on their game. The wicketkeeper-batter said, “We just didn’t come together as much as we would have wanted to.”
