The Kolkata Knight Riders’ plans to commemorate the triumph of the 2024 Indian Premier League are uncertain to the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). Many players departed the team to represent their countries in the T20 World Cup following their incredible triumph over Sunrisers Hyderabad. The team was unable to bring the trophy back to Kolkata, as was customary for them after the Gautam Gambhir-led team won it in 2012 and 2014.
Back then, KKR, CAB, and the West Bengal government put on a victory parade, which was followed by enormous celebrations in Eden Gardens. Shahrukh Khan, a co-owner, was the focal point of the festivities since he used to dazzle the audience with dances and other performances. The West Bengal government used to commemorate the players as well, but the specifics of their planned celebration have not yet been made public. As a result, supporters are unsure if this year’s ceremony will take place.
According to reports, Shahrukh Khan and recently recruited India coach Gautam Gambhir are expected to attend a celebration scheduled for July 23 in Kolkata. A CBI official noted, though, that while they do not have any information, the West Bengal government could.
“Nabanna might even be aware of such a plan,” The Telegraph cited a CAB source as saying.
Currently, the goal is to get the trophy to Kolkata before to the start of Gambhir’s Team India career. Though it’s unclear, it’s anticipated that the Southpaw would say goodbye to Kolkata Knight Riders supporters at the same occasion. But there are rumours that things will be refined during the following ten days, and additional information is anticipated.

All of the Indian participants will take part in the festivities if the proposal ultimately comes to pass. Given that both cricket players are a part of the Los Angeles Knight Riders in the current MLC, it is unknown if Andre Russell and Sunil Narine would be there for the festivities. There is also uncertainty over the whereabouts of Phil Salt, Allah Ghazanfar, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Mitchell Starc, and Dushmantha Chameera.
