The first round squads for the 2019 Sheffield Shield include Mitchell Marsh of Western Australia, Marnus Labuschagne of Queensland, and opener Usman Khawaja. Alex Carey and Travis Head are anticipated to play in South Australia’s Sheffield Shield opening round. However, Victoria’s great all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will miss the opening round but should be back against NSW in the second. While he recovers from a back ailment, Cameron Green will not play for Western Australia in the opening round.
