The second One-Day International (ODI) in the current Women’s Ashes will take place on Sunday, July 16, at Southampton’s Rose Bowl Cricket Ground between England and Australia. The hosts’ outstanding performance in the first One-Day International tied the series with Australia at one game each. A one-off Test was played to kick off the 2023 Women’s Ashes, and then a three-match T20I series took its place.
Australia triumphed in the Test match, and the home team won the T20I series 2-1. England‘s top pacer, Kate Cross, believes that both teams will be under pressure when they arrive for the contest in the second ODI. The 31-year-old said they are the best team in the world for a reason, but he also acknowledged that the visitors will come back hard.

By winning by two wickets over Australia, England ties the Women’s Ashes.
The current Women’s Ashes series is tied after England, led by Heather Knight, defeated Australia by two wickets in the first ODI series. Australia chose to bat first after winning the toss, giving the hosts a 264-run goal to reach. Australia’s best scorer, Beth Mooney, struck an undefeated 81 off 99 deliveries. While Kate Cross, Sophie Ecclestone, Sarah Glenn, and Alice Capsey each took one wicket, Lauren Bell and Nat Sciver-Brunt each grabbed two wickets.
During the pursuit to defeat Alyssa Healy and Co., Knight played a game-winning innings. She scored 75 runs off 86 balls, including a maximum and six boundaries. Heather was chosen as the Player of the Match as a result. On the Australian side, Ashleigh Gardner’s three-wicket haul was significant for her team.
