Kamran Akmal, the former Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter, is still the target of criticism and public attention. Another incident has just surfaced, just days after 42-year-old Harbhajan Singh, a former Indian cricketer, denounced the 42-year-old for his racist statements about Arshdeep Singh during the India-Pakistan match. This time, Kamran spoke something important about Umar Akmal, his younger brother.
According to Kamran Akmal, he had looked over Umar Akmal’s statistical information the day before. Although Umar’s overall statistics, performances, and charisma are not comparable to those of Indian idol Virat Kohli, he did concede that Umar had a higher strike-rate and greatest score in the T20 World Cups than Kohli.
“Tats kal aaye hai mujhe, mai baat kar raha Umar ki.” Virat Kohli and Umar had superior numbers in World Cup T20 matches. I mean, yesterday I got the figures, and I’m talking about Umar. Virat ki chhoti ungli ke baraabar hai. Umar had superior statistics to Virat Kohli in the World T20s.
In terms of his aura and performances, he isn’t even close to Virat Kohli,” Kamran Akmal stated on ARY News.

In the T20 World Cups, Umar Akmal did, in fact, show a higher strike-rate (132.42 vs. 130.52) and achieve a higher highest score (94 in 2014 and 89* in 2016) than Virat Kohli. Kamran was right, despite the miscommunication and incorrect context in which he made that assertion.

Even though they still had a match against Ireland left, Pakistan has been eliminated from this T20 World Cup. The Babar Azam-led team’s chances of winning were slim, as they suffered two straight defeats to their bitter rivals, India, and the co-hosts, the USA, despite winning by seven wickets.
