In domestic cricket, a new player route comprising the Development, Elite, Foundation, and Discovery phases was introduced. Significant raises in domestic player contracts and match fees were also suggested. The task of supervising the proceedings has been given to a committee. Representatives from this firm will carry out a free preliminary survey in Kabul and will also assist with the funding proposals and donor and investor meetings.
The board also had a lengthy discussion about Afghanistan’s next international cricket season, which will include trips to India and Sri Lanka, as well as home matches against Ireland, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Australia, and Zimbabwe.
Plans for building infrastructure, promoting domestic cricket throughout the nation, securing funding, and maintaining constructive relationships with stakeholders were all discussed, and appropriate mitigation plans were presented to deal with the obstacles that currently exist.
