With 35 balls remaining, Harmanpreet Kaur and team managed to knock down a meagre 109-run goal. Deepti Sharma was named Player of the Match for her outstanding bowling performance, which included 3/20 in four overs.
In the meantime, in the game’s shortest format, the seven-time champions scored more than 200 for the first time ever against the UAE. In just 20 overs, Harmanpreet and Richa Ghosh’s team reached 201/5 thanks to their explosive half-centuries. The UAE was only able to respond with 123/7.
