Irfan Pathan, a former Indian bowler, believes that Dravid’s main task will be to stop the IPL’s terrible performance from hurting players like Hardik Pandya
The competition between Rohit and Hardik Pandya for leadership in the current Indian team is a cause for concern. After being selected as vice captain for the 2024 T20 World Cup, Pandya replaced Rohit as captain of the Mumbai Indians and is considered his heir in the Indian squad.
India will travel to the West Indies and the United States of America for the T20 World Cup in 2024 with the goal of breaking their eleven-year streak without an ICC silverware. Rohit Sharma is in charge of the Indian team, and head coach Rahul Dravid wants to finish his career with a winning record. Dravid’s coaching performance in the bilateral series was outstanding, but he was unable to duplicate it as India lost the 2022 World Cup T20 and the 2023 World Cup 50 despite his guidance.
“I won’t even talk about this. Whatever occurred has occurred. I’ll just state that this is what I’m hoping for from you: victories for India in games. This is the game plan, and you are a vital member of the squad who can win matches. As an all-around player, I believe he will be very important. We’ve taken how many fast bowlers? The Hindustan Times cited Pathan, who claimed that there were only three bowlers with specialisations in addition to Shivam Dube and Hardik.

“These 3–4 overs will therefore become extremely important when the time comes. Recall that during our day games, he will permit us to play an additional spinner in the West Indies. And this is where he enters the picture. He needs to be happy and think he can contribute, so the IPL should not even be a topic of debate, he continued.
India would try to go slowly into the World Cup Super-8 stage.

The top two teams in the group will advance to the tournament’s Super-8 stage. India’s tournament campaign will kick off on June 5 in New York against Ireland.
