Head Coach Peter Johnston said:
“We sincerely appreciate the ECB’s invitation to bring our Under-19 team to the top-notch facilities in Loughborough once more, as well as the chance to participate in this Youth ODI Tri Series.
The team we have chosen has a solid mix of experience; half of the players participated in our most recent and victorious Under-19 World Cup in January, while the other half advance to this level as a first step towards the 2026 Under-19 World Cup.
Most of the team has participated in our Future Series competition, either with the Academy or in their own provinces. These kinds of demanding experiences that surpass their age groups will undoubtedly inspire confidence in our players.

We will have excellent benchmarking opportunities with this series we’re entering, and it provides solid linkage to performance on the global stage. It will serve as a springboard for some players as they prepare for the upcoming World Cup by highlighting areas for growth and qualities that they can build upon during the winter. Everyone is anticipating the start of the series with excitement.
