One standout player for the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the current Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) is Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore. During GT’s match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Sunday, April 21, at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Mohali, the left-arm spinner displayed his bowling prowess and was instrumental in his team’s three-wicket triumph.
The 27-year-old collaborated with other spinners and the Afghan pair Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad to help GT limit Punjab to a disappointing 142 runs. Chennai native Kishore concluded with great numbers, going 4/33 for his whole quota while keeping an economy rate of 8.25. Notably, in the cash-rich league, this was his first four-fer. Amazingly, he was awarded Player of the Contest for his outstanding performance that won the contest.

In every game this season that he has participated in for the Titans, he has continuously displayed greatness. He has taken six wickets at an economy rate of 7.72 and an average of 14.16, making him GT’s fourth-highest wicket-taker despite appearing in just three games. However, in five games during his 2022 debut season with GT, he has taken six wickets overall.

In the 2023 Asian Games, held in Hangzhou, China, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore made his debut on the international front against Nepal. He competed with the Indian team under Ruturaj Gaikwad, which won the gold medal in the continental multi-sport competition.
In domestic cricket, the 27-year-old skipper of Tamil Nadu currently plays for the Ranji Trophy. Under his direction, Tamil Nadu made it to the semifinals before Mumbai, the eventual winners, upset them. With 53 wickets in nine matches at an average of 18.52 and a remarkable economy rate of 2.55, he also became the tournament’s top wicket-taker.
