Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis revealed his thoughts ahead of the team’s upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS). He suggested that the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium would be a good place to bat.
Du Plessis conveyed his excitement, praising the stadium for being a “great place to bat.”. After losing their opening game of the season to the Chennai Super Kings, he expressed his team’s preparedness for the forthcoming game and emphasised their desire to play well.
“There was a sizable Chennai crowd for the first game, which was obviously held there. Game Day from RCB recently had a statement from du Plessis: “Looking forward to bat here again; it’s a great place to bat and I think the boys are very keen to start.”
Australian all-rounder Cameron Green reflected on the next match and agreed with du Plessis’ assessment, calling the Bengaluru pitch “beautiful” and perfect for batting. Green, who was thrilled about his first experience as an RCB player, also mentioned the speedy outfield.
The outfield is swift, and the batting wicket is lovely. Naturally, I’m eager to try something new as an RCB player because this will be my first time. Shoutouts and yelling are constant, and people look forward to it,” added Green.
