The 56th Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) game took place at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi between the tenacious Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Delhi Capitals (DC). Sanju Samson, the captain of RR, won the toss and decided to bowl against the home team. The formidable Royals were given a 222-run goal by the Delhi Capitals. The scores of Abhishek Porel and Jake Fraser-McGurk were 65 (36) and 50 (20), respectively.
The Delhi Capitals dealt the undefeated Rajasthan Royals their third defeat of the year. Sanju Samson gave the Rajasthan Royals a captain’s knock, making 86 runs in just 46 balls before Shai Hope caught him in Mukesh Kumar’s over. DC players outperformed RR in their defence of the total. Following Tuesday’s victory, DC jumps to fourth place, dropping LSG to fifth.
1. The DC Openers are off to a strong beginning.

2. The scorching 86 of Sanju Samson
Sanju Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals, has been playing a superb game this IPL season. He performed a captain’s knock against the Delhi Capitals on Tuesday as well, scoring 86 runs off of just 46 balls. Unfortunately, Mukesh Kumar devised a strategy and removed him from the game because he was unstoppable against the DC bowlers. It was a contentious dismissal, though, as Shai Hope caught him at the boundary, causing some to question if it was a six or a wicket.

3. Kuldeep Yadav was named Man of the Match.
During the Delhi Capitals’ game against the Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday, ace bowler Kuldeep Yadav was on fire. DC defeated the Royals by 20 runs thanks to his 2/25 spell. With Rovman Powell at the crease, RR needed 41 runs off 18 balls, so he was entrusted with the bowl in the 18th over, which proved to be significant as he got 2 wickets and gave DC a chance to stay in the playoff chase.

I really wish I was sitting in the Australia World Cup squad selection meeting to listen to their logic of not picking JFM.Baffling!! Nothing justifies it except very little sample size with the national team, the talent is for all to see and he’s exceptional .Gun player!#DCvRR

Jake Fraser McGurk has only way to play and that is to attack. Exciting for sure.

Ashwin bowled his first over in the power play and his second in the 10th over. Between those overs two left handers were playing. Sanju should have bowled him earlier.
