IPL 2024: At the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bowl against Ruturaj Gaikwad’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK). CSK scored 212 runs in the allowed 20 overs thanks to an unbeatable innings from captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. After defeating SRH by 78 runs, CSK is currently in third place in the points table.
The inability of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma to perform well for their side against CSK is an unusual occurrence. Since it’s difficult to chase 200+ runs on a slow pitch like Chepauk, one could argue that the SRH hitters were put to the test.

Tushar Deshpande defeated SRH by taking four wickets. He dismissed Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, two of the SRH’s best hitters, at 13 and 15 runs, respectively, shattering the backbone of the team’s batting order. His spell against SRH on Sunday helped the Chennai Super Kings win by 78 runs and gave them a lift.
