After losing their inaugural Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) match to Punjab Kings, it appeared that Shah Rukh’s presence boosted Kolkata’s performance.

Shardul Thakur blasted 68 off of just 29 deliveries, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz hit his first IPL fifty to help Kolkata amass a large total of 204/7. In the second innings, Varun Chakravarthy and Suyash Sharma bowled out Royal Challengers Bangalore for just 123 runs, giving KKR their first IPL 2023 victory.
