In the second Test of the two-game Test series, Te defeated Bangladesh with a masterful performance. Following their victory in the first Test in Chennai, India and Bangladesh convened for the second Test starting on September 27 at Kanpur’s Green Park.
It is noteworthy that rain often stopped the fight from continuing. Day 1 had only 35 overs of play, and days 2 and 3 saw no play at all because to the rain and wet outfield. Bangladesh scored 233 runs in the first innings, to which India responded with 285 runs and declared on Day 4.
With the intention of winning the match, India proceeded to destroy Bangladesh for 146 runs in the second innings, setting themselves a pitiful 95 runs to win the match. On the fifth day of play, Team India easily defeated Bangladesh, winning the match by seven wickets and the series 2-0.
India’s is still leading the WTC standings.
India solidified their lead in the standings with a two-game Test series victory over Bangladesh. India continues to lead the standings despite winning the two-game series. After 11 Test matches, the team captained by Rohit Sharma has won eight, lost two, and drawn one. India has been making progress towards a berth in the WTC final with 98 points.
However, Bangladesh is currently ranked seventh in the rankings. Bangladesh has won three and lost three of the eight Test matches that have been played.

The team’s hopes of making the WTC final appear to have been dashed with only 33 points. The World Test Championship 2023–25 points table, meanwhile, has undergone significant modification.
