Against Bangladesh, Team India won the opening Test of the current series with remarkable style. On September 19, both teams faced off at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. The hosts won handily thanks to a strong effort over the course of four days.
Both India and Bangladesh will now turn their attention to the second Test after winning the first one. India and Bangladesh will play the second Test match of the series on Friday, September 27 at Kanpur’s famed Green Park Stadium.
The BCCI, or Board of Control for Cricket in India, named the second Test team before to the match’s commencement. It is important to note that no changes will be made to the group that will go to Kanpur for the opening Test.
Ravichandran Ashwin’s outstanding performance in Chennai gets him Player of the Match
In relation to the match, Chennai hosted the opening Test of the series with Team India batting first. The top order broke, giving the side a poor start. Nevertheless, R. Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja did a fantastic job at the bat, leading India to 339 runs in the opening innings.
With 113 runs, Ashwin reached his sixth century in Test cricket. India restricted Bangladesh to a pitiful total of 149 runs after scoring 339 runs in the first innings. They then scored 287 runs and declared. By doing this, the team lead by Rohit Sharma set a target of 515 runs for Bangladesh to pursue.

The hosts also won the match by 280 runs thanks to their superb ball-handling performance, which saw them bundle Bangladesh for 234 runs in the second innings. Because of his century in the first innings and six wickets in the second, Ashwin was declared the Player of the Match.
