India’s two-match home series against Bangladesh will begin on September 19 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, with the focus shifting towards an exciting Test season. Bangladesh moved up to fourth place following their recent historic series whitewash against Pakistan in Rawalpindi, while India remains at the top of the WTC 2023–25 Points Table.
Through a media statement, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), the host organisation for the Chepauk encounter, revealed that tickets for the first Test are available for spectators to purchase online.

Every day at 09.30 AM (Indian Standard Time) would mark the start of the five-day match. There will be a forty-minute lunch break after the two-hour morning session. The play will continue for a few hours in the afternoon session. At 02.10 PM, the umpires will then call Tea in for a 20-minute break. At 4.30 PM, the last session will conclude with a play-in for the day, with Stumps called.

The announcement states that the official ticketing partner, PayTM Insider (https://insider.in), would begin offering the tickets for sale on September 09, 09:45 AM IST. Five distinct phases of tickets have been distributed among regular and hospitality boxes located across the historic venue’s stands.

On September 12, an IND team will arrive in Chennai.
For those who are unaware, the first Test will signal the start of India’s lengthy red-ball season. Accordingly, players from the Indian team will arrive in Chennai one week prior to the Test match. Notably, as previously reported, the squad is expected to be revealed on Monday, September 09, or sooner.
