Samit Dravid, the son of India’s head coach Rahul Dravid, displayed his talent in cricket during a recent Cooch Behar Trophy match against Jammu & Kashmir by scoring an outstanding 98 runs for Karnataka. Karnataka won easily by an innings and 130 runs, thanks in large part to the youthful Dravid, who showed off his skill with 13 fours and a well-struck six.
Batting at No. 5, Samit and Karthikeya KP forged a strong partnership as they amassed 233 runs for the fourth wicket, with the latter scoring an incredible 163 runs off of 175 balls. Karnataka ended their first innings with a total of 480 for five in 100 overs, which was too much for J&K to overcome.

The moment of pride for the Dravid family did not go unnoticed, as Rahul and Vijeta were seen supporting Samit at the SDNRW Ground in Mysuru during his match against Uttarakhand. Even though he was off duty for the country, Dravid took advantage of the chance to see his kid play cricket.
Father Rahul Dravid will return for the tests in South Africa, and Samit Dravid appears well.
Notably, Samit Dravid has already made news regarding the Cooch Behar Trophy. He had a brilliant start in the last game against Uttar Pradesh, scoring 27 and 28, showcasing his promising ability in the juvenile cricket scene. It’s clear that Rahul Dravid’s legacy is being deftly transferred to the following generation as Samit makes waves in youth cricket. With commitment and potential, the youthful Dravid is making a name for himself in cricket, attracting notice for both his remarkable skills and his well-known family.
Rahul Dravid will likely take up his coaching role for the Indian team in the next Test series against South Africa. After the Indian team’s current three-match ODI series, the Test series is set to begin at the SuperSport Park in Centurion on December 26 and end on December 30.
