In advance of the hundred match, Harry Kane enjoys a game of cricket at Lord’s

Prior to a match in The Hundred, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane participated in a six-hitting competition that was held at Lord’s.

Harry Kane, captain of England and striker for Tottenham Hotspur, participated in a game of cricket at Lord’s on the day before Monday’s match between the London Spirit and the Manchester Originals in the ongoing The Hundred event. During a six-hitting challenge at the renowned cricket ground, Kane was seen bragging about his batting ability alongside his Spurs teammate Matt Doherty. Kane was seen in a video of the action that was published by The Hundred. In the clip, he was shown hitting massive shots off of friendly full throws. Kane was also seen providing the commentary alongside Ravi Shastri, who had previously served as the head coach of India.

In reference to the game, London Spirit prevailed over Manchester Originals by a score of 52 runs. Batting first, the team captained by Eoin Morgan posted a score of 160 for 6 off of 100 balls. While Morgan hit a 37 off of 26, Zak Crawley scored 41 out of a possible 34. The quickfire cameo of Kieron Pollard, who scored 34 not out off 11 balls, was also helpful to the team’s cause. Paul Walter had a score of two strikes and eighteen gutter balls in the bowling competition.

In their response, Manchester Originals were bowled out for 108 runs as a result of the combined efforts of Jordan Thompson and Mason Crane, who both returned 2 for 21 wickets.

It is important to note that Pollard reached the milestone of playing 600 Twenty20 games during the match on Monday. This accomplishment deserves to be highlighted. Dwayne Bravo (543 matches), Shoaib Malik (472 matches), Chris Gayle (463 matches), and Ravi Bopara (426 matches) are some of the players who follow Pollard.

On the other hand, Kane’s team in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur, got off to a winning start in the Premier League 2022-23 season by thumping Southampton 4-1 in their opening match. Next up for the team on August 14 is a match against their London rivals Chelsea.
