The first game of the three-match series was called off due to rain. In the second Twenty20 International (T20I), which was played at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, Suryakumar Yadav put on a batting display that was of the highest caliber, which took the spotlight.

With the assistance of 11 fours and 7 sixes, Suryakumar Yadav scored 111 runs not out off of a total of 51 balls. His innings was a key factor in India’s victory over New Zealand, which they achieved by a final score of 191 for 6 and a victory margin of 65 runs.
