The International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to reappoint Imran Khawaja of Singapore to the position of Deputy Chair for another term lasting two years.
After being re-elected to the position during the ICC Annual Conference in July 2022, Khwaja is currently serving on the ICC Board of Directors in the capacity of Associate Member Director.
In 2008, Imran Khawaja was elected for the first time to serve on the ICC Board, and he has held the position of Deputy Chair since 2017.
Greg Barclay, who hails from New Zealand, was recently re-elected to the position of chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) for a second consecutive two-year term.
Barclay was elected unopposed after Tavengwa Mukuhlani of Zimbabwe withdrew from the process, and the ICC Board reaffirmed its full support for the New Zealander to continue at the helm of the organization. Barclay was elected after Mukuhlani withdrew from the process.
During the board meeting that took place earlier this month, BCCI secretary Jay Shah was also elected to the position of head of the ICC’s all-powerful Finance and Commercial Affairs (F&CA) committee. Sourav Ganguly, a former president of the BCCI, currently serves as the head of the men’s cricket committee for the ICC.
