When Los Angeles hosts the Olympics in 2028, Ellyse Perry, the star all-around player from Australia, will be 37 years old. The inclusion of cricket in the Games has already been established, and Perry expressed her desire to compete in the international competition.
Sydney-born cricketer Perry made her debut on the international scene in 2007 and has since won numerous world titles, including the Commonwealth Games in 2022. Perry’s remarkable career would gain another honour if she were to compete in and win the Olympics, but she isn’t planning too far ahead just yet. +
The all-round player stated that while she hasn’t decided when to retire, she would really like to go on till the Olympics.
“I don’t think I’m the type of person who likes to set a retirement date.” I’ve never considered it in that way. I would like to be there if I am still available and good enough. I don’t have a goal to play in the Olympics, but if I live long enough and am good enough, I would really love to attend, Perry told the BBC.

After the 100-ball competition concludes, Perry, who is presently guiding Birmingham Phoenix in The Women’s Hundred, will get back together with her fellow countrymen to get ready for the Women’s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh. Prior to that, Perry praised England, their bitter opponents, and said that a lot of cricket players are making their debuts at a young age. She went on to say that Australia wins tournaments because of their ability to perform well under pressure and expressed her happiness at the way all countries are now performing consistently in international cricket.

“England is playing some amazing cricket and has been in fantastic form. There are a lot of younger players emerging on the domestic scene, which is really exciting. There has never, in my opinion, been a significant divide between Australia and England. The Australian team has a talent for coming out on top in crucial situations. According to Perry, all teams are currently playing incredibly consistently and know exactly how they want to play.
