Rashid Khan, a prominent all-round player for Afghanistan, will not play in the forthcoming three-match Twenty20 International series against India, which will take place at the Punjab Cricket Association’s IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Thursday, January 11. It is noteworthy that Rashid was included in the team even though he had recently had back surgery. Ibrahim Zadran will captain the squad for the three games while he is away.
Ibrahim Zadran disclosed to the press that Rashid would not be appearing in the next series.
As to the Hindustan Times, Ibrahim Zadran stated, “We will miss him in the series, but he is not totally fit, but he is traveling with the team. He’s doing his rehab with the doctor.”
“Without Rashid, we will struggle because his experience is crucial to all of us, but this is cricket and you need to be ready for any kind of situation,” he said.
