"I want him to get better so that I can go and hit him," says Kapil Dev in support of Rishabh Pant.

Former Indian captain Kapil Dev has made it clear that he has a strong bond with injured wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant as Team India prepares to face Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy match. The unpredictable batter, who was hurt horribly in a vehicle accident in December 2022, will not appear in the upcoming season because he is still recovering from his wounds.

Former Indian all-rounder and World Cup champion Kapil Dev has expressed his love for the injured Rishabh Pant while also expressing the desire to give the southpaw a lesson so that he does not make the same mistake again. The former cricketer believes that Pant’s absence has caused the team management some difficulty in the lead-up to the crucial Border Gavaskar Trophy.

“I adore him a great deal. I’m waiting for him to get better so I can go hit him and tell him to take care of himself. Your accident has left the entire team in ruins. I hate him even as I love him. Why do today’s young people behave in such a foolish manner?
“A slap ought to be given for it. First of all, may the Almighty grant him good health and all the affection in the world. The Indian Express cited Kapil Dev as saying, “First that, but after that, like parents have this responsibility to spank the children if they misbehave.

Rishabh Pant posts an Instagram story on his recovery journey.

The intrepid Indian batter, who suffered several wounds following his car accident on the morning of December 30, provided an update on his health on February 7 after sharing a narrative via his Instagram account. The 25-year-old published a photo on Instagram with the message, “Never knew just being able to sit out and breathe fresh air feels so amazing. ” He had two knee operations as a result of the accident.”
