Any parent should be proud of their son for representing the country in a highly competitive sport like cricket. Munir Ali, Moeen Ali‘s father, expressed exactly the same opinion.
Munir recently shared his thoughts, saying that the family was proud of them and that it was a time they would always treasure.
“My kid has had an incredible career, but as a father, I’m a little disappointed that he is no longer playing for England. For us, Moeen’s ten years of playing for England and wearing an England shirt is an honour. Munir, cited by the BBC, said, “I am thrilled for him for what he has accomplished on and off the ground.”
Moeen Ali played in the T20 World Cup 2024 semifinal before hanging up his English shirt.
Munir went on to say that every blessing has a concluding chapter and that he was quite pleased with his kid for finishing the game with style.
“He always talks to me before doing anything. Of course, I was a little bit disappointed, but I was also relieved that he was winning the game. One day, everything good has to end,” Munir continued.
Now is the ideal moment for him to offer emerging youth a chance: Munir Ali
Munir thought Moeen’s decision to resign was the appropriate one for the up-and-coming stars who are eager to succeed, even if he was expressing opinions characteristic of a father who believes their child has limitless potential.
“As a father, I feel a little differently, but now is the appropriate moment for him to give emerging youth a chance. To be honest, he’s playing as well as he did five or six years ago; he’s in extremely good shape. Munir concluded, ” He keeps himself fit and looks quite well.
