The third Test of the current five-game series between the Indian side and England is scheduled to begin on February 15 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. The Indian squad has a difficult situation going into the third Test match, given that the first two in the series are over and the scores are tied.
Before the match in Rajkot, Team India will have to decide between Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and R Ashwin due to the star all-rounder’s possible return to the team.
Kuldeep’s performance in the second Test of the series at Vizag, where he took four wickets, was essential to the Indian team’s victory and series tie.
Regarding the same, Kuldeep stated that he is not worrying too much about his spot in the Indian team for the third Test and that he is certain of it as well.
“With two days left until the game, I’m not even sure where I stand. I’ll be more than delighted to have the chance. I simply enjoy my day and keep working hard, and that’s my approach. I don’t really consider whether or not I’m playing,” Kuldeep was cited by Cricbuzz.
I’ve never participated in rank turners. Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep Yadav also mentioned how much he regrets not playing more Test matches in his native country. It’s worth mentioning that Kuldeep has participated in just nine Test matches, four of which were held at home.
“I’ve never engaged in rank-turner gaming. In the previous series (the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in February and March of last year), I did not participate. I’m not sure how we would approach or think about this. Essentially, the decision belongs to team management. You all obviously want to see excellent cricket, too. “Having good wickets is crucial for playing good cricket,” Kuldeep stated.
