The Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s hopes of winning the first championship were once again dashed as they were eliminated from the competition after losing to Rajasthan Royals in the elimination round. The Royals prevailed in the tournament’s eliminator match, which took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad between the two teams.
It is noteworthy that RCB overcame several obstacles to go to the playoffs. With just one victory in their first eight group stage games, the squad appeared to be the first out of the competition. But the team bounced back from that setback to win six straight and finish fourth in the group stage by maintaining a higher net run rate than the Chennai Super Kings.

Dreams of making it to the postseason were dashed for RCB after the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals defeated them by four wickets to advance to Qualifier 2. Following the match, head coach Andy Flower of RCB took the field to praise the team’s outstanding fighting performance this season.
“Our boys have, in my opinion, fought outstandingly over the past ten weeks to recover from our first-half performance in the tournament. It was a fantastic effort, and I would want to thank Faf du Plessis for leading by example as captain and Virat for leading by example as professional athletes. ESPNcricinfo cited Andy Flower as adding, “But also the way they’ve played.”
It’s a bit early to talk about that. Andy Flower
Additionally, questions concerning Andy Flower’s ambitions for the franchise for the 2025 IPL season were posed. He did admit that speed alone wouldn’t be enough for the team to succeed at Chinnaswamy Stadium; they would need some extremely talented bowlers.
It’s a little early to discuss recruitment for the upcoming year. To be honest, I’d rather not discuss that just now. However, I believe there are some unique properties of the Chinnaswamy that we should be able to take advantage of. At Chinnaswamy, you most definitely need extremely skilled bowlers. Pace alone won’t solve the problem there. At Chinnaswamy, Flower stated, “You need bowlers who are intelligent, skilled, and able to bowl to very specific plans.”
