During the post-match presentation, a Bangladeshi presenter called her incorrectly as “Jemimah Rodrigues,” to which India captain Harmanpreet Kaur responded directly. Notably, the Women in Blue leveled the score in the ongoing One-Day International series after a convincing 108-run victory over Bangladesh on July 19 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
After the victory, the Bangladeshi presenter asked both captains to share their impressions on the game during the post-match presentation. However, after speaking with the Indian skipper, the presenter referred to her as “Jemimah Rodrigues,” to which the latter responded well.

“Thank you very much, Jemimah! And congratulations,” the presenter told during the post-match presentation.
The Indian captain said, “Harmanpreet Kaur, thank you!” before turning around and leaving the platform.
The presenter then corrected himself, saying, “Harmanpreet, I sincerely apologize.”
Against Bangladesh, Team India draws even again.
Speaking of the game, Jemimah Rodrigues’ brilliance with the bat and the ball was crucial to India winning the second ODI. Jemimah’s career-best performance with the bat and ball comprised a score of 86 from 78 balls, which included nine boundaries, and a stunning four-wicket haul for just three runs in 3.1 overs of her session afterward.
Before suffering a blow to her left wrist, the captain also contributed significantly with a crucial fifty (52 off 88 balls) and a 73-run partnership with Jemimah.
Harmanpreet Kaur achieved her fifty against Bangladesh and her 18th ODI half-century.
The captain had to retire hurt after taking a knock to her wrist in the 37th over while completing a single, according to her statement on the incident. After scoring 48 runs off 80 balls, she eventually left the field in discomfort. Despite being hurt, she returned to the field in the 47th over, finished off her inning with 52 runs, and then walked back to the pavilion. With a convincing victory, team India will want to maintain their momentum and win the series in the following ODI game.
