The three-game T20I series between Australia and India‘s women will see the continuation of their current multi-format series. Both teams have already played each other in a single Test match and a three-game ODI series. The side will now, however, be concentrating on the condensed format. It’s important to remember that the two teams will play one another in three Twenty20 Internationals on January 5, 7, and 9, respectively.
Having lost the ODI series, the hosts will be even more driven to perform well in the remaining games. In the run-up to the opening Twenty20 International, India women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur took to the platform to express how thrilled the team is about the forthcoming games, how everyone is prepared for the shorter formats, and how they are eager to face the Australians.
“As a cricketer, even when we’re not playing international matches, we still get to practice for matches, so I don’t think it’s too much cricket.
In the last month, we’ve only lost one game, but other than that, we’ve played really good cricket,” Harmanpreet Kaur stated at the press conference held before the match.
We just concluded the team meeting, and everyone is looking very positive and in T20 mode. They are excited about how important the T20 series is for us. Many players have put in excellent performances, so I don’t feel that one odd game is going to decide how the side is feeling mentally and physically,” she continued.

After losing the ODI series, Indian women want atonement.
With the T20I series quickly approaching, India, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, will be under pressure to perform better in the next games as they enter the series fresh off a perfect three-game ODI series victory.
The Indian squad had started the 50-over format with a victory over Australia, but after losing the first Test match, they found themselves in a devastating series defeat. Moving forward, they will therefore be motivated to do better in the T20I series.
