After joining the Mumbai Indians from the Gujarat Titans, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya faced criticism and trolling during the 2024 Indian Premier League. The five-time winners ended last in the points table under his direction, which did not give him any moral support as a faction of the fan base continued to demonstrate their disapproval of him throughout the tournament.
Hardik, 30, looked in excellent form as he scored 40 runs off of 23 deliveries in India’s T20 World Cup warm-up match against Bangladesh. The cricket player acknowledged after his outstanding performance that the journey had not been easy, but he has been methodical and anticipates greater things in the future.
The cricket player continued, saying he hasn’t altered his regimen and that he is accustomed to going through difficult times and understands how to bounce back.
“I think you have to stay in the fight at some point. Life can throw you into difficult circumstances from time to time, but if you walk away from the game or the battle, you won’t receive the outcomes you want or the desired outcome from your sport. It has been challenging, but I have also tried to be process-driven and adhere to the same procedures that I used to,” Hardik said to Star Sports.
These things happen simultaneously; there are ups and downs, and these are transitory stages. It’s alright. I will get through this too; I have gone through these stages several times,” Hardik Pandya continued.
In the warm-up game at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, the Men in Blue defeated Bangladesh by a score of sixty runs. Along with Hardik, Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant also had nice looks. With the new ball, Arshdeep Singh took two wickets, and in his three overs, Shivam Dube also took two wickets while conceding 13 runs.
