Prominent Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya recently shared his candid thoughts regarding his dedication to training and physical health. The 30-year-old made the argument that everyone can achieve any goal they set for themselves, but he also emphasised the need of hard effort in the process.
Pandya demonstrated his bowling speeds, pointing out how rigorous training and hard effort had enabled him to attain 140+ mph, whereas previously he could only get 130+ mph.
Pandya played in just two matches before suffering an injury that forced him to miss some of the ODI World Cup 2023. Despite suffering an ankle injury in the match against Bangladesh, he returned to form for the T20 World Cup 2024 and helped India win the championship.
In a recent interview with the media, Pandya stated, “I used to bowl, if I’m not wrong, 130s; higher 130s, I was able to go 140-plus, 142 by pushing. That’s when I realised by 2017 or not as soon as I started getting more (and) more into my body, more knowledge about it and that’s when I start pushing.”
The human body is such a beautiful creation of God that it will shape itself into anything you want it to; all it requires is a little hard work. “Start pushing your barrier every single day,” he continued.
For all those who wish to begin their fitness journey: Hardik Pandya
In addition, Hardik Pandya discussed how, when he was 16 years old, he would push himself and his trainer to the maximum and always go above and beyond what was expected of him.

“The message from the video, which he watched when he was sixteen, stuck with me for so long that, whenever my trainer tells me to perform ten push-ups, I always end up doing fifteen. It emphasises how important it is to occasionally clear your mind as well. And that has challenged me, so I’m thinking slowly and advising anyone who wants to begin a fitness journey to concentrate on that, Pandya said.
