Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni’s Bromance Will Be Featured in the Upcoming “Sholay 2”

It is common knowledge that Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni, a former captain of the Indian cricket team, share a close friendship.

The all-rounder has paid praise to the veteran on numerous occasions, so it should not have come as a surprise when he met with Dhoni before the first Twenty20 International match against New Zealand.

On Wednesday, when the squad arrived in Ranchi, Pandya tweeted a picture of himself and Dhoni on social media with the comment, “Sholay 2 coming soon.” Given that Pandya will be captaining India in this series, it is sure to be a memorable one for him.

Pandya can be seen posing beside Dhoni in both of the photos that were uploaded to Pandya’s account. He was occupying the driver’s seat of a motorcycle, while the previous captain was riding in the side car of the vehicle.

Pandya has already helmed the squad in games against Ireland, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. Coupled with his outstanding performance as captain of the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022, many industry professionals believe he should be given the opportunity to take on the role permanently.

As of right now, he will be filling in for Rohit Sharma when he is not available.

The right-handed batsman scored his first century in over three years during the third ODI match in Indore, which Rohit led India to victory in. India won the one-day international series against New Zealand 3-0.

However, since the conclusion of the Twenty20 World Cup that was held in Australia the previous year, he has not participated in a single Twenty20 International match for India.

Because Rohit and Virat Kohli have not played for India in the shortest format of the sport, and because the selectors are trying to give opportunities to younger players, it is possible that Pandya may be in charge of the squad in the not too distant future.
