The third and final Twenty20 International between India and Sri Lanka is scheduled to take place at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, July 30. The third game is meaningless because the Men in Blue had gained an unstoppable 2-0 advantage.
Rain caused a 70-minute delay in the toss, which Charith Asalanka won and chose to bowl first. At the toss, he declared that Dasun Shanaka, the captain of Sri Lanka’s white-ball team, would be replaced by 21-year-old Chamindu Wickramasinghe, who would be making his debut on the international scene.
In the meantime, India made the decision to bench Arshdeep Singh, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, and Hardik Pandya for the Punjab match.
Shubman Gill, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, and Khaleel Ahmed will try instead of the four rested players. The vice captain of India, Shubman, was forced to skip the previous match because of a neck spasm. The news of his comeback to the team will please the supporters.
