Former Indian opener and current head coach Gautam Gambhir recently engaged in a lighthearted game where he bestowed movie-inspired nicknames to some of India’s cricket heroes. This was a challenge the southpaw took part in during the just finished Delhi Premier League.
In his choices, Gambhir crowned ace batter Virat Kohli as “Shahenshah” (King of Kings). Other noteworthy options were assigning Sachin Tendulkar as “Dabang” (Fearless) title, Jasprit Bumrah as “Khiladi” (Player), and Yuvraj Singh as “Badshah” (King).
Gambhir didn’t shy away from self-deprecating humor, designating himself the “Angry Young Man.” Interestingly, Gambhir stressed the importance of Bumrah’s contribution, noting, “‘Khiladi’ is more important than all these.” He also labelled Rahul Dravid as “Mr. Perfectionist,” Sourav Ganguly the title of “Tiger,” and the recently retiring Shikhar Dhawan was christened “Gabbar.”

I get along really well with Virat Kohli off the pitch: Gautam Gambhir
In the meantime, the head coach talked candidly about his relationship with former India captain Virat Kohli, noting that they both have a calm demeanour and see one another with mutual regard.
In what manner am I associated with Virat Kohli? It is, I believe, between two responsible adults. Everyone has the right to battle for their own team, their own jersey, and the desire to return to the winning dressing room while they are on the pitch. However, as of right now, I believe you are speaking for 140 crore Indians, and I have no doubt that we will work together to make India proud. My relationship with you off the pitch is excellent, and we will keep it that way. However, in order to clarify for the public what kind of connection [we have], I believe it to be between two people “, he had previously stated.
