In the IPL 2024, Gautam Gambhir, a former cricket player from India, led the Kolkata Knight Riders to their third title under his amazing leadership. The most discussed subject in cricket circles was Gambhir’s influence on the team. According to multiple sources, the southpaw was the front-runner to become the Indian Men’s Cricket team’s head coach in the future. At the conclusion of the current T20 World Cup in 2024, head coach Rahul Dravid’s stint will come to an end.
Despite having guided the Lucknow Super Giants to the IPL championship, the Delhi batter’s squad was only able to make it to the postseason. The reason BCCI seemed to be considering Gambhir for the coveted job could have been attributed in large part to his aggressive and attacking style of play. According to reports from Dainik Jagran, the former India opener will lead the squad for the next three years. This is a done deal.
To coach the Indian squad would be my dream job: Gautam Gambhir
Even though the news of Gambhir’s employment as the head coach was being circulated, the guy himself said nothing. Anil Kumble, a former captain of India, most recently supported the KKR coach to take the reins. To symbolise the aspirations of 1.4 billion Indians is an honour, and Gambhir stated during an occasion that he is more than willing to accept the role.
“I’d want to be the Indian team’s coach. Being a national team coach is the ultimate honour. You are speaking for 140 crore Indians as well as people everywhere. Despite receiving several questions, I have not responded to any of them. But I must respond to you right now. The 140 crore Indians will contribute to their country’s World Cup victory. India will win the World Cup if everyone starts praying for us and we start representing them on the pitch. “Being fearless is the most important thing,” stated Gambhir.
