Team India resumes Competition Against the West Indies
The Men in Blue are ready to return to action after a month-long hiatus following their loss to Australia in the final of the 2021–23 ICC World Test Championship (WTC). Beginning on July 12, the team under Rohit Sharma will tour the West Indies for a multi-format series.
Two Tests will be played between the two teams, marking India’s first series of the WTC 2023–25 cycle. After the conclusion of the two Tests, the two teams will compete in a three-match ODI series and a five-match T20I series.
Team India will attempt to assemble a core squad in time for the anxiously awaited ODI World Cup. As a consequence of their poor performance in the World Cup qualifiers, the West Indies are on the verge of being eliminated from contention for a spot in the premier ODI competition. Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka are the favourites to qualify for the ODI World Cup in India during the months of October and November.
