Ex-Pakistani Captain Calls Shubman Gill’s Batting Mistake “Continually Happening”

The former international batsman made his remarks now since Shubman Gill missed reaching his half-century in Sunday’s second ODI match against the West Indies by seven runs.
Salman Butt, a former captain of Pakistan, emphasised that Indian opener Shubman Gill must extend his innings. Butt said that the youngster has a lot of potential and should score huge runs.

After Gill missed reaching his half-century in Sunday’s second One-Day International in India’s three-match series vs West Indies by seven runs, the former international batter made his remarks.

Notably, Gill attempted to play a scoop drive but received a bottom edge of the bat on Kyle Mayers’ delivery. Mayers successfully performed the follow-up catch to secure his wicket.

Regarding the game, India put in a valiant performance to defeat West Indies by two wickets in the nail-biting final over. At Trinidad’s Queen’s Park Oval, India successfully completed its 312-run goal with only two balls remaining. Even though the needed run rate increased to 10 runs per over toward the end of the game, Axar Patel performed an undefeated 64-run knock off 35 balls to lead the team home.
