Ex-India cricketer Axar Patel has been described as “still living in the shadow of Ravindra Jadeja.”

Axar Patel took three wickets and gave up 24 runs while bowling 7.3 overs in the first one-day international that Zimbabwe played. In the end, India triumphed over their opponents by a score of 10 wickets.

All-rounder Axar Patel received a lot of accolades from former India cricketer Aakash Chopra for his performance in the first one-day international match of the three-match series against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club. In the match that took place on Thursday, India triumphed over Zimbabwe with a score of 10 wickets to 24.

Axar returned stats of 3 for 24 in 7.3 overs. However, Chopra said that Axar is still in the shadow of Ravindra Jadeja and that he would not be getting a chance as long as Jadeja was fit and available to play. Jadeja is expected to be eligible to play for the foreseeable future.

“The story of Axar Patel’s ascent to prominence is one that has been extremely upsetting for many people. After excelling to a high degree in First-Class cricket, he was given the opportunity to play at the international level. He is a cricket player.

He is not yet out of Ravindra Jadeja’s shadow, and even if Jadeja were to get well and be eligible to play, Axar would not have a chance to take the field by that point. On the other hand, anytime he has the opportunity, he makes an excellent first impression, “said Chopra on his own channel on YouTube.

While Axar took advantage of the opportunity to bolster his cause, another spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, who has typically been overlooked in recent years, was unable to take any wickets. Axar’s performance was more successful. Kuldeep’s 10-over innings against Zimbabwe resulted in only 36 runs being scored against him, despite the fact that he was very economical.

“Kuldeep Yadav didn’t get wickets… You are anticipating some wickets from him. This proposal does not offer any assistance to him. He could have bowled a little bit faster in the air, in my opinion “Chopra remarked.

The next one-day international match will be played between India and Zimbabwe on August 20 at the same location as the first match. On August 22, players will take the field for the third and final match of the series.
