The Indian Premier League, or IPL, has been suspended for one week owing to border tensions, which has caused the cricket season to come to a standstill for players and fans. In spite of the recent events, Indian cricket players have continued to express gratitude to the military for risking their lives for the country.

Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah and cricket icon Virat Kohli have responded to the continuing crisis by posting passionate messages on social media expressing their support for the soldiers. Both cricket players have thanked the Indian military for helping them through these difficult times.

Kohli expressed his sympathy with the soldiers defending the nation from outside threats in his Instagram story. Jasprit Bumrah, an Indian speedster sensation, also expressed his gratitude on social media for the warriors who are making such sacrifices for the nation’s security.

“We salute and stand in solidarity with our armed services for fearlessly defending our nation during these trying times. “We will always be grateful to our heroes for their unwavering courage and for the sacrifices they and their families make for our wonderful country,” Kohli posted on his official Instagram account.

“Grateful to our armed forces for their courage and bravery. We salute them and remain forever in their debt for everything that they do to keep us safe,” Bumrah wrote on his ‘X’ handle.

IPL final game before to suspension

At the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) in Dharamsala, the last match of the competition between the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) was cancelled because of technological issues.

After 10.1 overs, the game was called off. PBKS had batted first and amassed 122 runs for one wicket before the venue’s floodlights abruptly went out. The third game in the tournament to go without a result was this one.
