Virat Kohli, the star batsman for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, takes a break from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoffs to play pickleball with his actress wife, Anushka Sharma. During a special RCB bonding session, the couple was spotted on the court showing off their paddle abilities.

Since the RCB’s outdoor training schedule was interrupted by persistent rain, the event was held indoors in Bengaluru. The crew had to find other ways to stay active because the city was flooded and there was a yellow alert. In addition to Anushka and Kohli, RCB batting coach and mentor Dinesh Karthik also participated in the recreational activity with his wife, squash player Dipika Pallikal.

The RCB photos showed Virat Kohli ‘high-fiving’ Anushka following their point-winning victory.

Phil Salt, Mayank Agarwal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jitesh Sharma, and Liam Livingstone were among the other RCB players that were spotted playing.

RCB still in contention for top-two finish

Meanwhile, RCB have already qualified for the IPL 2025 playoffs, making it their fifth appearance in the last six seasons. They currently sit second on the points table with 17 points, behind table-toppers Gujarat Titans, who have 18. However, the fight for a top-two finish is still active, with Punjab Kings also tied at 17 points. The final standings could depend on net run rate (NRR).

The RCB’s final home game versus Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), which was originally planned on May 23 in Bengaluru, has been rescheduled to Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium due to the city’s ongoing rain. On May 27, they will play their final league match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the same location.
