On Thursday, May 15, Tim David, a batter for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), had a great day at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. He swam in the pouring rain. David chose to show up in his shorts and swim on one of the wet covers while his teammates were hurried off the pitch.
Upon his return to the dressing room, some of his colleagues applauded the Australian batter, while others appeared taken aback by his obvious intoxication. David’s fun in the rain in Bengaluru was captured in a video that RCB shared on their official social media accounts.

In the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), Tim David has been one of RCB’s top batting performers.
In eight innings, he has amassed 186 runs at a strike rate of 193.75, and an average of 93.
The IPL 2025 will resume on Saturday, May 17, when RCB will play the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at home. To maintain their prospects of making the playoffs, the reigning champions must win the match.
If the Rajat Patidar-led RCB wins on Saturday, they would advance to the playoffs as the first team in the tournament’s 18th edition.
The curtain-raiser between RCB and KKR took place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 22. After Krunal Pandya’s outstanding three-for, the visiting team held Ajinkya Rahane’s team to 174/8. After Phil Salt and Virat Kohli struck thrilling half-centuries, RCB easily defeated the target in reply. With seven wickets and 22 balls remaining, the Royal Challengers easily won thanks to Patidar’s explosive 34 off 16 balls.
