Rohit Sharma retaliated to the critics, saying that it is needless to be so critical of the players. The Indian captain acknowledged that the players required constructive criticism, but he believed that the detractors had attacked him harshly without cause. Sharma responded to criticism on his performance in the IPL, his numbers against left-handers, and other facets of his game.

The MI hitter concurred that a cricket player’s life is inevitably filled with criticism. Sharma went on to say that he disagrees with those who criticise far more than is necessary. Critics criticised his batting, but he said he didn’t listen to them. According to the seasoned batter, his batting is unaffected by the opinions of others.

The life of a sportsperson includes criticism. Criticism is essential and vital. However, I oppose needless criticism. I dislike it. Many statements were made about me. However, I don’t give any of it any thought, and it has no bearing on me,” Rohit stated in a Vimal Kumar interview.

Rohit Sharma once said, “My job is to attack.”

The criticism of his performance versus the left-arm pacers was subsequently addressed by him. The right-handed batter believed that defending the deliveries against the left-arm pacers was not the best course of action. Rohit believed that the best defence was attack.

“A lot of things have been stated about me, such as that I can’t play fast bowlers with left arms, but I don’t care about it anymore. Now, many things could go wrong if you go and defend it. Additionally, you will be wasting time, and time is valuable. Attacking is what I do,” Rohit clarified. Z

Sharma hasn’t had a particularly successful IPL batting season for a while. Although he has performed admirably in the IPL 2025, particularly in the last five to six games, his overall batting record has drawn criticism.
