Mustafizur Rahman, a fast bowler from Bangladesh, has been signed by the Delhi Capitals (DC) for the remaining IPL 2025, but the BCB has said it has not been asked for a no-objection certificate (NOC).
IPL signing announcements are often made only after a player has obtained a NOC from his home board. The BCB has not yet received a request for one, though, according to its CEO, Nizamuddin Chowdhury.
Chowdhury stated on Wednesday that “Mustafizur is supposed to go with the team to the UAE according to the schedule.” “IPL officials have not been in touch with us.
Additionally, Mustafizur Rahman has not sent me any official correspondence of any kind.
The Bangladesh T20I team, which includes Mustafizur, is scheduled to play two consecutive away T20I series against Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, both of which are IPL opponents. Mustafizur and the rest of Bangladesh’s team took a flight to Dubai on Wednesday, only hours after the IPL revealed that he had signed to replace Jake Fraser-McGurk.
Bangladesh will play five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in Pakistan on May 25, 27, and 30, as well as on June 1 and 3, after playing two T20Is in the United Arab Emirates on May 17 and 19. These two series clash with the IPL; DC will play their final three league games on May 18, 21, and 24 before, if they advance, the playoffs.
