On the fourth ball of the Indian Premier League match between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Lucknow Super Giants on Monday, May 19, Mitchell Marsh hit a Pat Cummins delivery past the deep midwicket fence.
Mitchell Marsh picked the length early and dismissed the ball from his sight for a maximum of 80 metres since it was a little short outside the off stump.
#MitchellMarsh has begun #LSG‘s charge in this must win game! Will he make full use of the powerplay and set the tone early? 🏏

The shot was made four balls after the game’s opening pitch was hit for a boundary over covers to start the innings. Cummins won the toss earlier in the evening and opted to bat first with LSG. For the team led by Rishabh Pant, this game is crucial. Regarding SRH, they are only participating for pride as they were the third team to be eliminated from the 2025 Indian Premier League.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Punjab Kings (PBKS) have advanced to the playoffs, with just one position left to be filled. The other two clubs vying for that spot are the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, in addition to LSG.
SRH will play Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Bengaluru on Friday, May 23, while LSG will play Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on Thursday, May 22. Both matches are set to start at 7:30 p.m. (IST). Prior to this match, LSG and SRH were ranked seventh and eighth in the standings, respectively.
