Michael Bracewell was spotted gesturing for a review after being bowled during Match 14 of the present Major League Cricket season, which pitted MI New York against San Francisco Unicorns. This came after the Kiwi batting all-rounder was removed for a golden duck in his team’s run chase.

Michael Bracewell attempted to swipe a length ball sent by Romario Shepherd towards the stumps.

The ball travelled through the gap between the bat and the pad, kissing the off stump along the way. It wasn’t until Shepherd pointed out to Bracewell that he hadn’t been adjudged LBW.

Ever seen a batter (accidentally) try to review after getting bowled?

San Francisco finally won by 47 runs, extending their unbeaten streak to five. In contrast, New York suffered its fourth loss in five games. Overall, Bracewell’s day was one to forget. He was given only two overs with the ball and conceded 35 runs.

Later, he was removed with the bat on the opening ball for the third time in T20s. Nicholas Pooran, the skipper, had an off day as well. He only managed to score 15 off 17 in a 247-run chase. He failed to build on the basis set by the early hitters.

Shepherd, on the other hand, had a strong recovery with the ball after struggling in the first innings. The West Indian bowler ended up with the most economical stats of the two sides. His stats were 2/30 in four overs, which included the wickets of Quinton de Kock (70 off 46) and Bracewell (0 off 1).
