Two days prior to the appearance, KKR had dominated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Eden Gardens with a decisive 80-run victory. The KKR squad displayed some superb batting throughout the game. While Venkatesh Iyer blistered to 60 off 29 deliveries, Angkrish Raghuvanshi made an impression with a fast 50 off 32 balls. With a solid 38 from 27 balls from Ajinkya Rahane and a late burst of 32 runs from 17 balls from Rinku Singh, the team reached 200 runs.
The bowlers for KKR provided the hitters great control. With 3 for 29, Vaibhav Arora was very outstanding, while Varun Chakravarthy’s 3 for 22 figures completely destroyed the lower tier. The Sunrisers were dismissed after 16.4 overs for a mere 120.
With four points from victories over SRH and Rajasthan Royals, KKR is currently ranked fifth in the standings. Rahane’s team has rallied confidently since losing to the Mumbai Indians. When they prepare to play the Lucknow Super Giants in match number 21 of the 2025 Indian Premier League on April 8, KKR will want to extend their winning streak.
