Actress Avneet Kaur and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli were involved in a controversy this past week over an unexpected Instagram interaction. While Kohli has already addressed the matter with a public clarification, Avneet has remained silent when confronted by paparazzi in Mumbai.
Days after Kohli’s explanation, Avneet Kaur was spotted by the paparazzi in Mumbai and was asked about the viral Instagram incident.
In reply, the actress was seen blushing and covering her face, and she folded her hands as she sat inside her car. Despite repeated queries, the actress did not say a single word.

The incident began when Avneet, who posted a series of photos on Instagram in which she was seen wearing a green top paired with a printed wrap skirt, saw her images being liked by the star cricketer.
Fans noticed the interaction when the post was reshared by a fan club, but the like was removed shortly thereafter. Many questioned the cricketer’s intent behind the engagement. To put an end to the growing speculations, Kohli stated on his Instagram Stories on May 2 to clarify the incident.
“I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Kohli is currently busy with the ongoing IPL 2025, playing for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and is currently at the top of the most runs chart this season with 505 runs in 11 innings.
