It has been reported that Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, would not participate in the second and final Test match of the two-game series against Bangladesh, which will take place in Dhaka beginning on December 22.
It has been confirmed that Rohit will not be making the trip to Dhaka. Rohit was forced to sit out the first test match after suffering a thumb injury in the second one-day international match against Bangladesh.
Due to a finger injury that he got in the second match, India captain Rohit Sharma was unable to participate in the first Test match that was played in Chattogram. He also missed the third and final One-Day International that was played against Bangladesh.
After a particular consultation in Mumbai, the medical team was able to determine that this recurrent ailment was keeping him out of action, and it even led him to miss the first Test that was played against Bangladesh. This information was discovered by the medical staff.
As a result of Rohit’s decision not to travel to Dhaka for the second and final test of the series, vice-captain KL Rahul will continue to lead the team in his absence. India currently holds a 1-0 lead in the series.
Not only Rohit Sharma, but also many other talented cricketers like Jasprit Bumrah (back), Mohammad Shami (shoulder), and Ravindra Jadeja were not selected for the Indian team (knee).
Because they were unable to recover in time, these elite players will not be participating in either of the tests.
India improved their prospects of participating in the final of the ICC World Test Championship in 2019 by defeating a determined Bangladesh side by an impressive 188 runs in the opening test match that took place on the Indian side’s home turf in Chattogram on Sunday.
Spinners Axar Patel (four for seventy-seven) and Kuldeep Yadav (three for seventy-three) did the majority of the damage as they combined for seven Bangladesh wickets in the second innings. As a direct consequence of this victory, India moved up to the second spot on the standings for the World Test Championship.
